CLUE
Directed by Steve Parker
We are very excited to be bringing you “Clue” as the the final instalment in our 65th Anniversary Season.
Clue is a fast-paced, 90-minute comedic farce adapted by Sandy Rustin from Jonathan Lynn’s screenplay for the 1985 cult-classic Paramount film. It translates the beloved Hasbro board game’s whodunit formula into a theatrical spectacle.
Set on a dark and stormy night in 1954 at Boddy Manor (a remote mansion near Washington, D.C., during the height of the McCarthyism "Red Scare"). Six anonymous guests receive cryptic invitations to a dinner party. Upon arrival, they discover they are all being blackmailed by the same individual—their host, Mr. Boddy. When Boddy turns up dead, the guests and household staff race against the clock to unmask the killer before the body count rises.
Director Steve Parker says, “Clue is a fantastically funny whodunnit play requiring flawless timing, immaculate delivery, great chemistry and, of course, comedic chops!
